A rare Babe Ruth jersey just became the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia ever

The Sultan of Swat is now the Maharajah of Memorabilia, too.

An unidentified buyer purchased a game-worn Babe Ruth jersey at auction Saturday for a record-breaking sum: $5.64 million dollars.

The winning bid broke a previous record set in 2012: $4.4 million for, naturally, a Babe Ruth jersey.
