A Chicago trauma center was so overwhelmed with gunshot victims over the weekend that it briefly had to route patients elsewhere.
Mount Sinai Hospital stopped accepting patients, putting itself “on bypass,” which sends incoming ambulances to other trauma centers, CNN reported.
