Two people killed by trucks as they crossed streets in Brooklyn and Manhattan

Two pedestrians died Thursday afternoon in separate crashes involving trucks in Brooklyn and Manhattan, police said.

A 26-year-old woman was killed in a crosswalk in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood around 5:30 p.m.

The woman suffered severe head trauma, and a police source called it a “gruesome scene.”
