Japanese woman, world’s oldest person, turns 117, adds another year to record

She wakes up at 6 a.m. and studies math for fun.

But Kane Tanaka, the world’s oldest-living person, did not have longevity advice for anyone when she turned 117 on Jan. 2. She just wanted more cake.

“Tasty,” she said, smiling as she bit into her slice, reported Reuters. “I want some more.”
