Bronx-based civilian is second NYPD employee to die of coronavirus

A veteran NYPD administrative assistant assigned to the Bronx’s 49th Precinct died of coronavirus, police said.

Bronx resident Giacomina Barr-Brown, 61, was hospitalized with coronavirus complications at Jacobi Hospital and passed away in her home Thursday, police said.
