Mississippi politicians vote in favor of state flag makeover that would cut Confederate battle flag image

Another symbol of the Confederacy is slated for the scrap heap. Both houses of the Mississippi legislature voted in favor of a redesign of the state flag on Saturday, which contains an image of the Confederate battle flag.
