Judge gives ousted Milwaukee police chief his job back — a day after city picked interim chief

Just a day after a Milwaukee panel selected a new acting police chief, a judge gave ousted Police Chief Alfonso Morales his job back. Friday’s ruling reverses an August decision by the city’s fire and police commission to demote Morales over his handling of numerous incidents involving Black people, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
