A woman whose son rallied hospitals across Pennsylvania to get his mother into a specially equipped COVID-19 unit has lost her battle with the disease. Karen Rider was 63. Her son, Shawn Rider, urged people to take this virus and the pandemic seriously to spare themselves and others his family's fate.
