Derek Chauvin’s attorney asks judge to delay trial, change venue amid George Floyd lawsuit settlement

The attorney for Derek Chauvin, one of the cops charged with killing George Floyd, asked a Minneapolis judge on Monday to delay the trial and reconsider a previously unsuccessful request to move the proceedings to another city, saying he’s “gravely concerned” about the impact from last week’s settlement in a related civil case.
