Woman who vanished during hiking trip found dead in California

A massive search for a woman who went missing during a day-long hiking trip came to a heartbreaking end over the weekend after her body was found near a Southern California mountain trial, authorities said Sunday. Narineh Avakian, 37, was found near the Mount Waterman Trail in the San Gabriel Mountains after a week-long search effort involving teams from 17 different counties, according to police.
