Man who was with George Floyd the day he died says he will invoke Fifth Amendment if asked to testify

A potentially key witness in the ongoing trial of accused George Floyd killer Derek Chauvin will refuse to testify if asked to do so, he announced Wednesday. Morries Hall, who was with Floyd the day he died in downtown Minneapolis last spring, filed a motion with the Hennepin County court revealing his intention to invoke the Fifth Amendment, a constitutional right against self-incrimination.
