N.C. man who spent 22 years in prison on wrongful conviction pardoned, 5 years after he was freed

Darryl Howard, now 58, was freed in 2016, but Friday’s pardon from Gov. Roy Cooper allows him to seek up to $750,000 in compensation for the time he spent locked up.
