In 2019, a Roman artist named Alessia Barbow glued her own image of Christ that she had painted onto the side of a bridge near The Vatican in Rome. A year after she publicly displayed her creation, the Vatican decided to use the image for their 2020 Easter postage stamp prompting outrage from the artist without her consent.
