Talk about explosive news. Disney World will debut two new nighttime spectaculars on Oct. 1 to kick off its 50th anniversary festivities, which will stretch out over 18 fun-filled months. But before the big event, the Orlando theme park paradise will first bring back regular fireworks-filled shows at two parks on July 1 that have been dark due to COVID-19. They’ll arrive in time for the reopening of the Polynesian Village Resort at the end of July and for an action-packed summer and fall as the easing of pandemic restrictions makes travel a lot more appealing.
