Near mint condition copy of Super Mario 64 sells for $1.5 million at auction, smashing records

A 1996 edition of the classic Nintendo 64 game, Super Mario 64 sold at an auction for $1.5 million, breaking the previous record for the highest auction price of a video game, set two days before which was $870,000 for a Legend of Zelda game for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
