Virginia school district will not adopt trans-inclusive policies, in defiance of state law

Chesapeake is the second city in Hampton Roads that is refusing to adopt policies to protect transgender students. Last week, the Newport News School Board voted to reject state guidelines, but it has since called a special meeting to reconsider its decision.
