Father of murdered 12-year-old boy defends shooter mom with a plea for attention to mental illness

The grieving father of a 12-year-old boy fatally shot by his paranoid mother defended her on Monday in a bid to draw attention to the ravages of mental illness. Fallon C. Harris, 37, had finally sought help and a therapist and displaying paranoid behavior just the day before allegedly gunning down her son, family members said.
