Derek Chauvin denied public defender for appeals process in George Floyd murder conviction

The Minnesota Supreme Court has dealt Derek Chauvin his latest legal blow, ruling the former police officer is ineligible for a public defender as he works to appeal his murder conviction and decades-long prison sentence in the death of George Floyd.
