As the first guilty verdict against Travis McMichael was read out for malice murder, a loud “Whoop!” echoed through the courtroom. Judge Timothy Walmsley promptly had the person removed. The exclamation came from Ahmaud Arbery's father, Marcus Arbery, who could not contain himself after more than 10 days of grueling testimony.
